Ivory and Black Wood Captain's Desk

Ivory and Black Wood Captain's Desk Review

Sea captains of old made good use of notoriously cramped quarters in the ship's stern section. Their desks were tailor made to offer maximum comfort and space in a minimal floor area, with drawers to house sealed sailing instructions, logbooks, charts, instruments and a pair of flintlock pistols. Brass corners protected from damage when being moved around and sturdy construction withstood often violent ship's movements. Cherry and maple wood. Ivory, black and woodgrain finishes. Leather inset top. Solid brass hardware. 67" wide. 30 3/4" high. 29 1/2" deep.
